Last Will and Testament by Dahlia Adler

Last Will and Testament by Dahlia Adler

Lizzie became an orphan at 18 years old.  Because of this, she became the guardian of her 2 younger brothers.

How does one balance college life and taking care of two young boys?

I like the part where she remembers her mom making her a plate of lumpia for a snack.  That made me remember that it has been a while since I added lumpia in my meals for the week.  And so I added lumpiang shanghai to our menu this week!

This Man (book series) by Jodi Ellen Malpas

This Man book series by Jodi Ellen Malpas

This Man book series by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Ava's point of view: This Man, Beneath This Man, This Man Confessed
Jesse's and Ava's point of view: With This Man

This is a story about love (or is it lust) at first sight.  Thankfully, on both sides, or there won't be a story at all..  lol..

There's a lot of PG13 and R scenes that are very imaginative.  Ava and Jesse are so in lust/love that I can't help but root for them even if some aspects of their lives freak me out.

Far out..

Lucky in Love by Kasie West

What would you do if you won the lottery?  Most of us might have bought a ticket or two, hoping, hoping.

This is a story about Madeleine, and what she did and felt when she actually won.  How her family, her close friends, her acquaintances, and everyone else acted around her when they found out.  And of course, Seth, the boy she is interested in.

Very entertaining.. there is some drama... but it is mostly a story of a girl getting to an understanding of self amidst all the teen angst.

Great book and made me think of fun possibilities.

The Rule Of One by Ashley Saunders + Leslie Saunders

The Rule Of One by Ashley Saunders + Leslie Saunders

To me, this book speaks about a girl's journey from being a follower, afraid, and robotic... to a girl who thinks for herself, is courageous, and self aware.  The premise of a United States with a law of only one child per couple is unbelievable.  But of course could come true one day.

A good read.

Everything We Keep by Kerry Lonsdale

Everything We Keep by Kerry Lonsdale

This book is full of twists and secrets.  Aimee's situation seems to be so sad, but throughout the whole book you'd find out how everything is not as it seems.

It was great to see her resilience, her perseverance, and see her go through a second chance at being happy.

Great read!
